KONAMI

The FFT Düsseldorf invites the transnational, German-French-Ivorian performance group La Fleur to research the interactions between football, pop culture and migration between the African and European continents, on the basis of which the production "KONAMI - DER FUSSBALLTANZ" will be developed, which will be shown in Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Palermo and Paris. The starting point is the concrete experiences of the La Fleur members, who have connections to professional footballers. They focus on the work biographies of African footballers and pop stars who operate between Germany, France and the Ivory Coast. Based on conversations, literature and online research, the stories and stages of the players between the continents are reconstructed. European clubs, scouts, agents, FIFA and African associations play an important role. The resulting texts, audio recordings and films provide the material for the production.
