Stadium of dreams

TheStadium of Dreams has found its location in the heart of the historic concert garden at Leipzig Zoo. From 7 June to 7 July 2024, the daytime programme is aimed particularly at children and families. Until the early evening, there will be opportunities to play various sports, a host of other games and trendy craft workshops. Appealing, child-friendly formats offer the footballers of tomorrow the opportunity to talk to each other about topics such as fair play and sustainability or to compare the football of grandma and grandpa's day with that of today. In the evenings, the programme is aimed at a broad audience of people interested in sport and culture. In addition to modules that encourage active sport on site (Teqball, Tipp Kick), the exhibition Football in the East and the history of sport offer plenty of interesting facts about the ball, while the topic of social responsibility plays a central role in prominent panel discussions and readings by well-known authors. Concerts by Leipzig bands provide the musical backdrop. The architectural ensemble around the Stadium of Dreams will be visually illuminated and thematically integrated.
