Stadium of dreams

Like football, cultural education is best achieved as a team effort with team spirit, enthusiasm and art. In May 2024, the Stadium of Dreams in front of the Musiktheater im Revier Gelsenkirchen will therefore open as a work of art on the outside and an artistic future laboratory for young people on the inside.

As a cultural education project, children and young people will explore their dreams here with professional artistic support: their hopes and goals as well as how they deal with failed or successful dreams. They use artistic means: music, literature, dance, film, photography, art and theatre. Around 120 young people are working together with artists and municipal and independent actors such as the Musiktheater im Revier, the children's and youth theatre Consol Theater, the art school, the municipal music school, schools and youth facilities. The results can be viewed in a virtual exhibition in the Stadium of Dreams.
