Stadium of dreams

Dortmund is already one of the centres of football culture in Germany. For the EURO, these resources are to be realised in the Stadium of Dreams as a unique lighthouse project for combining the football and cultural scenes.

No place in Dortmund is better suited for this than the German Football Museum: since its opening in autumn 2015, the museum has been the only institution in Germany with a fixed football culture programme. Events are organised every week.

The stadium of dreams is due to open in mid-April 2024. Performances by prominent artists from various disciplines (including theatre, film and poetry slam) are planned. The aim is to get people in Dortmund and the entire region looking forward to the upcoming tournament. The trans-European idea is of particular importance. One focus is on projects with artists from all parts of Europe.
