JOGO BONITO

Jogo Bonito is the football history podcast by the two well-known radio presenters Sven Pistor and Burkhard Hupe. Pistor, who presents the cult football programme Liga Live on WDR 2, and Hupe, Bundesliga reporter for ARD radio and winner of the Herbert Zimmermann Prize several times, have been meeting weekly for more than a year to talk about the beautiful game, Jogo Bonito in Portuguese. The podcast's large and steadily growing fan base confirms the assumption that there is a great desire for things beyond the confetti rain. The duo inspire themselves and others with off-the-beaten-track history and gems, because the beautiful game does not consist of fat bank accounts and full trophy cabinets. Now Jogo Bonito will get to the bottom of the special history of the European Championship in three episodes. For the tournament in 2024, Pistor and Hupe, who will both be part of the ARD radio team, also want to engage in intercultural dialogue with other colleagues. Contributions from other European countries are planned. The inquisitive duo ("We have a great desire to be amazed") are also planning three 90-minute live shows from March to May 2024 at the Zeche Carl in Essen.
